Negative taken for June 6, 1965, Arkansas Gazette article "FHA Girls Learn New Handicrafts," E5:2. Nannie Lou Wulff, Future Homemakers of America state adviser, took Deane to a leadership conference in Arkadelphia, Clark County, Arkansas. The conference was held on the campus of Henderson State Teachers College. Women were taught how to create ceramics, antique furniture, and decorate with candles and seasonal decorations. The conference is four days long. Older woman is Mrs. Juanice Johnson.
